Can INTJs be Emotional? A Look at INTJ Sensitivity
Yes, they can. Just because INTJs don’t wear their emotions on their sleeves doesn’t mean they don’t feel them deeply. They may not be the type of people to get wrapped up in their feelings and let them control their lives, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t feel things just as powerfully as anyone else.
What do INTJs feel sensitive about?
Sensitivity can manifest in different ways for different people. Whereas INTJs might not allow emotions or feelings to trigger them as easily as other types, they can be extremely sensitive to other types of stimuli.
For example, INTJs, due to their introverted nature, do not typically like being in large crowds or dealing with a lot of noise and activity. This can cause them to become overwhelmed and drained very quickly.
They may also be sensitive to criticism, whether it is constructive or not. Because they are perfectionists, any type of feedback that isn’t positive can be taken very hard by INTJs. They might internalize it and beat themselves up over it, even if the criticism wasn’t warranted or given with malicious intent.

Can INTJs be emotionally expressive?
INTJs don’t like to express their emotions outwardly. It’s just one of their many quirks. But that doesn’t mean that all INTJs suppress their emotions, nor does it mean that all INTJs are incapable of emotionally expressing themselves. It’s just uncommon among this group.
People often wonder if INTJs can be emotionally expressive because they have Introverted Feeling (Fi) as their tertiary function. This means that they do have the capacity to express their emotions, but it’s not their natural inclination. So while some INTJs might find it easy to express themselves emotionally, others might have to work a little harder at it.
Fi takes time and effort to develop, which INTJs are totally capable of doing!
Do INTJs have high emotional intelligence?
Emotional intelligence is defined as the ability to be aware of and understand your own emotions and the emotions of others. It’s also about being able to regulate those emotions, respond effectively to them, and create positive relationships.
INTJs are not typically known for their emotional intelligence, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have it.
That being said, emotional intelligence is a skill that many INTJs have to proactively work towards developing.
Despite not having a natural inclination for outwardly expressing their emotions, INTJs actually spend a fair amount of time internalizing and processing them. They do, however, struggle with connecting to the emotions of other people.
10 Ways To Tell If An INTJ Likes YouINTJs can be good at reading people, especially when it comes to assessing if they are genuine or not. But they struggle with understanding and empathizing with the emotions that drive people’s actions.
This is something that INTJs can improve upon with time and effort. By working on their emotional intelligence, they can become better at understanding not just their own emotions, but the emotions of others as well.

Do INTJs get sad?
Yes, INTJs do get sad. They experience all of the same emotions as everyone else. The difference is that they tend to keep their emotions in check and don’t let them take over their lives.
INTJs might not be the type to get caught up in their feelings or wallow in sadness, but that doesn’t mean they don’t feel things just as powerfully as anyone else.
How do INTJs express anger?
INTJs are not typically known for their emotional outbursts. In fact, they are more likely to keep their anger in check and internalize it than they are to express it outwardly.
That being said, every INTJ is different and there is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. Some INTJs might find it easy to express their anger, while others might have a more difficult time.
One way that INTJs might express their anger is by becoming withdrawn and withdrawing from social interaction. This can be interpreted as aloofness or disinterest when in reality the INTJ is just trying to process their emotions and figure out a plan of action.
Another way that INTJs might express their anger is by becoming more critical and nit-picky than usual. This is their way of lashing out and taking their frustration out on the world.
Essentially, INTJs will not be explosive in their anger, but rather mask it with other behavior, which can be frustrating for people on the receiving end of their anger as they might not be fully aware there is an issue.
